Connecting a controller by USB cable

USB is the most reliable connection. It's also how you charge and how you flash firmware.

Steps

1. Use the cable that came with the controller (or a known data-capable USB-C cable).
2. Plug into a USB port on your PC or console.
3. The device detects the controller within a few seconds.
4. If nothing happens, try a different USB port — front-panel ports on PCs sometimes don't deliver enough power.

Tip: Many "charge cables" don't carry data. If a wired controller charges but isn't detected, swap the cable first.
