Controller not detected by PC or console

If a controller doesn't show up, the issue is almost always cable, pairing, or driver.

Try this

1. Swap to a different USB cable — try a known data cable.
2. Plug into a back-panel USB port directly.
3. Restart the device with the controller already connected.
4. On PC, reinstall the controller driver from the Gear app.

Tip: If the LED lights up but the device doesn't detect input, the cable is almost certainly charge-only.
