Stick drift: diagnosis and quick fixes

Stick drift is when the analog stick reports movement even when you're not touching it. It can be hardware or just dust.

Try first

1. Blow compressed air around the base of the stick.
2. Recalibrate the sticks in the Gear app.
3. Adjust the deadzone in your most-played game.
4. If drift persists, open an RMA — sticks are a common warranty repair.

Tip: Record a short video showing the drift on a calibration screen — it's the best evidence for an RMA.
