Changing your NAT type to Open or Type 2

You can usually open your NAT by enabling UPnP or forwarding specific ports.

Steps

1. Sign in to your router's admin page.
2. Enable UPnP.
3. If that's not enough, forward the ports listed in the game's help page.
4. Restart the console or PC and re-check NAT status.

Tip: Don't put your device in the router's DMZ unless you understand the security tradeoff — it's effective but exposes the whole device.
