Updating your controller firmware

Firmware updates fix bugs and add features. Most controllers update through the companion app.

Steps

1. Install the IM Lab Gear app for your platform.
2. Connect the controller via USB.
3. Open the app and check for updates.
4. Don't unplug the controller until the update is complete.

Tip: Don't run firmware updates over Bluetooth. A failed flash can brick the controller.
