Enabling two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a second proof of identity on top of your password. It's the single best thing you can do to protect your account.

Steps

1. Open Account settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
2. Choose an authenticator app (recommended), SMS, or a hardware security key.
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app and confirm with the 6-digit code.
4. Save your backup codes somewhere safe (password manager or printed).

Tip: Authenticator apps are safer than SMS, which can be intercepted by SIM swapping.
